Line-up

Bands

Size Nine is an eight piece band from South London. “London’s number One Buttshaking Latin Funk Soul Ska Orchestra” (DJ Healer Selecta, King-a-Ling records); combining the tightest rhythm section with the rowdiest horns, behind the gritty, thought-provoking lyrics and soulful tones of Brixton’s finest songstress, Breezy Lee Elthalion.

In addition to the music, Size Nine is all about the live show; a high-energy, visual performance, taking the crowd on a journey through the songs which are guaranteed to have them on their feet with a universal appeal that spans and unites generations. The influences found within the overall sound are as diverse as the personalities within the band. Drawing on elements from Latin to jazz, a touch of classical with the occasional rock-groove or drum ‘n’ bass break, Size Nine has fused funky-soulful sounds from the past with a distinctly contemporary and urban feel to create their own organic and original music.

This three-piece anti-folk band, have come a long way in the past 3 years and 2007 sees CuteLoony return with a brand new line up. Delicious harmonies, off-beat rhythms and an afro with a 12 string, you will be hearing a lot more from these guys. All of their songs have a charm and dark nostalgia that is broody and must utterly be heard again, again and again.

“…three months too late for Glastonbury...” Steve Henwood
“This band is a far cry from diddly-di” FrokeMag
“A sound that melted me within…” Dave Harrison
“Buncha’ c*nts” Marc Bacon

Every band has at least one good, ok, at least one decent, song in them. I believe this. I'm sure The Bleeps have more than one (really). I say this with supreme confidence because "Dull Thud" ispretty spectacular as far as two-minute blasts of pop-punk go... ...Get up get up get up! SHAKE YOUR FIST _______________ It’s a bit like getting beaten round the ears with a very tasty slab of ‘rrrock’ steak. No holds barred, a swaggering swamp monster of a sound. It growls, it pants, it gyrates. It’s worthy I tell you. I would say they’re a band you need to see live to get a real impression. WHISPERIN & HOLLERIN

David Zanthor

Forged from steel and hope, David Zanthor has elevated himself to the realm of super fission magician plus.

He inspires hope and obedience in all, and has recently set up an African charity during his magic missionary work into the Congo.

His tricks not only gained him great esteem with magic societies the world over, but also got him into a "tight spot" with many African witch doctors who decreed him a danger to the towns folk. This earned him the name "Combatawa" meaning man who makes coin out of fire.
